Weekend in pictures.

Good Monday to you friends!

We're wrapping up October this week, y'all. I enjoyed every day of it; the many pumpkin flavored food and drink opportunities, abnormally warm days and the beautiful fall colors.

I took this picture on the way home from our walk from the Farmers Market on Sunday. Just breathtaking.

We took full advantage this weekend with a trip to the Children's Museum, Fall Festival, last Farmers Market, leaf piles...and I even got to squeeze in a Broncos game with the hubs.

Though I'm sad to see October go, I am excited to welcome November and Thanksgiving, my MOST favorite holiday of the year. I'll be getting my new decor organized soon! Can't wait to share.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Monday's musings.

It's Monday y'all. The mini is ornery as ever.

We had such a fun, relaxing weekend.

We stayed at home and cooked dinner. Cleaned house. Celebrated birthdays.

Went to the pumpkin patch:

Here's Coop at the patch one year ago; one of my FAVORITE pictures of him. It's at that fun age when everything makes them smile, they sit still and are the perfect picture opps. I mean, that face.
IMG_1272
A little different experience this year.
Considering he throws a tantrum any time we try to redirect him to do anything (IE smile for pictures)...It was interesting.

He found this gourd and wouldn't let it go.

My favorite picture of the day- Daddy and his boy. Excuse the mullet (the mini not the hubs), it's time for another haircut! That thing just gets nasty back there...

Sunday my husband also gave me a little girls day out...to the Broncos game!  I know I couldn't believe it either.

I'll admit it, I am now a fan of the Broncos. Can I be a fan of two teams at once?

Anyways, me and my fave Meghan had a blast and it was such a treat for us. Baby free for 5 hours? Yes please!

I wrapped up the weekend catching up on my shows, Homeland and Revenge. Was pretty much the perfect weekend!

Happy week, y'all!

Jet-setting.

Long lost greetings friends!

IMG_7491

I took a little bloggy-break over the past month or so, because per the usual, this summer we have turned into jet-setters. Cooper has slept in his crib five times in the last four weeks and I'm positive my friends here forget what we look like.

Here's what you missed:

1. Cooper hits my face, your child, and often times his own head now. He's acquired a temper. We're working on it.

2. We spent 11 days in Texas and Cooper got to play with his Dallas-buds. It was chaotic.

Cooper, Miller, Emily , Molly, Brooklyn, Betsy.

3. Cooper's mom drank approximately 5 Mambo Taxi's while in Dallas (not consecutively). A Mambo Taxi is a 1200 calorie sangria-swirled margarita, with an intensely guarded recipe from HEAVEN (ie Mi Cocina). Legend has it that its name comes from the fact that after consuming three of them, you’ll need a taxi to get home; this I can neither confirm or deny. I've tried really hard to track down this recipe and this is as close as I've gotten.

4. Cooper's mom had an awesome stay-cation at the Ritz Carlton in Dallas. Massage, facial, pool time and you more importantly, martinis.

4. Cooper spent invaluable time with the Kennedy/Nann side of the family (his great-grandparents and great-aunts and uncles) while in Houston. He sweat a lot too.

[caption id="attachment_1662" align="aligncenter" width="480"]I mean, ew. I mean, ew.[/caption]

4. Cooper started excessively hand-waving. He waves all the time. He waves hello, goodbye and "get-outta-here-mom." En route to and from the Lone Star State he waved at the entire section of the plane we were in; four people asked to hold him. This worked out for me though because I got a break, and let's be honest, it gave me time to pick the goldfish off up the floor.

5. I put Cooper in one of those jon-jon things and it didn't go well. One kid told us our little girl was cute and my husband will never let me forget it. I'm going to stick to shorts and polos from now on.

6. We went to a Kauffman reunion outside of Gunnison and it was totally gorge. We also fit 6 adults and 4 children under 3 into one small cabin. Everyone slept awesome.

7. I put Cooper in flowers and took about 50 pictures. I also put him on a boat for the first time. He was excited about all of it.

And, that about sums it up! It's been a busy, fast-moving few weeks to say the least, but I know it's fleeting. I know we won't be able to pick up and go once the littles are older; we just won't have the flexibility and time. So the opportunity to do it now is welcomed and savored.

Now who can watch my kid while I go take a vacation from our vacations???

Weekend in-review.

This weekend was busy for the Kauffman's, but not in the scheduled type of way - which is always the most fun kinda-busy. The weather was gorgeous and we took full advantage!

We went to the zoo Saturday morning:

Then this happened:

We biked up to South Pearl Street for a Brews and Blues festival - a huge festival with blue grass band, beer tents, and surpsingly, lots of families and young kiddos were there (probably because we were part of the early to arrive, early to leave crew, which SIDENOTE, actually works excellent when going out to eat because you never have to wait for a table).

In other news, my most-favorite rose bush that blooms only once a year, is in bloom! I love looking out the window and seeing these beautiful flowers.

[caption id="attachment_1560" align="aligncenter" width="490"]In bloom. Pretty soon will be completely covered.[/caption]

IMG_7253

Sunday we had a lovely dinner on the patio after golf and...how cute are these two?

[caption id="attachment_1573" align="aligncenter" width="490"]Twinsies. Twinsies.[/caption]

And, most excitingly, my baby brother and his wife are moving to Colorado this week! You heard me right, one more Texan is calling Colorado home! We are SO excited to have them close and for their new journey.

Hope you had a relaxing weekend!
